What does CCNA certification mean to you?
Certification validates our ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN and basic mitigation of security threats to the network. Whether your business uses Cisco equipment or equipment from other vendors, this certification demonstrates an understanding and practical application of network technologies and techniques which are transferable.
The main areas of focus of the CCNA are as follows:
- Understanding of how networks work
- Configure, verify, and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and interswitch communications
- Implement IP addressing schemes and IP services to meet network requirements
- Configure, verify, and troubleshoot basic router operations and routing.
- Identify and mitigate security threats to a network
- Implement, verify, and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium-size network
